Just a little disclaimer for you:
I don’t claim to know-it-all. I am not perfect. This industry is constantly evolving. Just because something has changed, doesn’t mean I am implying that people who practice the older techniques are spammers or bad SEO’s, they just might be a little behind the curve or stuck in their current way of doing things, which is quite common.
I am not a professional writer or blogger by trade, obviously. I decided to start this blog because I was sick of hearing horror stories from clients that have been screwed over or taken advantage of by so called “SEO’s” My client’s are constantly forwarding me spam email’s that sicken me. We are not all bad but you have to be very cautious. I see a lot of smart individuals get taken by these companies whose only interests is in increasing their bottom line.
I also want to admit that I have make mistakes. Testing different techniques is essential to our industry and not all are winners or ethical even. Just because someone once used blog commenting as their main form of link building doesn’t make them a bad SEO, I used to do it to. In my defense, I always read the post in full and added comments that attempted to add to the conversation.
I hope that by writing this blog, I will help make Legal Professionals and other Small Business Owners aware of the some of the currently ineffective techniques that are no longer necessary and a waste of their budgets. I also plan to call out blatant scam artists when I see them, so watch out.
